About
I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University and a research associate at the David O’Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise.
I explore consumer culture using sociological, anthropological and historical methods. On a theoretical level, my work broadly explores how cultural narratives, structures and institutions shape individual consumption practices. On a practical level, my work has applications to fashion and home design, social media use, sustainability and secondary markets.
My work has been funded by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Fonds Québécois de la Recherche sur la Société et la Culture, Association for Consumer Research, Marketing Science Institute, and was featured in Wall Street Journal, Globe and Mail, WIRED, Psychology Today, Montreal Gazette, Vancouver Sun, Ottawa Citizen, Calgary Herald, The Star Phoenix, Canada.com, La Presse, Miller Mc-Cune, Wisconsin Public Radio, Yahoo News, LiveScience and numerous blogs.
